Author- Mary Jennifer Payne
Title- Since You've Been Gone
Year Released- © Jan 24, 2015
Ratings- 4.1/5 (GoodReads)
Chapters- #33
Pages- 216
My Rating- 4.9/5
Genre- Teens and YA

Summary- In this book Mary Jennifer Payne writes this amazing books that we all go threw struggles in life and we can overcome like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said. I could feel the pain of the main character Edie. She never stays in a house with her mom in a steady environment for long.

I could relate that way to her because I see classmates constantly moving and can hardly finish a year straight. It open my eyes up to see her undergo so much pressure and her mom clearly not telling why they have to move.

The main thing I like about her character is that she isn't afraid to speak her mind. She stands up for what is believes and is a very straight forward person.

To me she had build up this confidence in her life that I, personally like because it shows that you can make a stand for what you believe. I didn't like the fact that she talked to her mom how ever she felt and that was a turn off for me off because she didn't get disciplined for doing so.

You could scarcely imagine the pain she felt and I could understand why. Every time she moves her confidence builds up. She does encounter bullies but she stands up to them. She doesn't let them push her around and to me that deserves a round of applause.

(DISCLAIMER THERE WERE NO SPOILERS BECAUSE ITS TO GOOD TO EVEN PUT IN WORDS. WAIT FOR THE BOOK TO COME OUT. READ IT. ENJOY IT. ALSO, TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT IT.)

Picking Up Where We Left Off

Would you betray your friends? How many lies can you tell before someone finds outs?

In my previous blog in gave some important details about a book

Here's the review.

Summary:  Massie Block and Claire Lyons have entered a fashion show at there school OCD. Later on to find out one of her best and closest friends Alicia Rivera has went behind her back and switch the boxes so she could win. She was tired of always being in second place and wanted to win for a chance. Is blood thicker than water or will something regretful happen?

(*Spoilers) As devious as Massie is she cannot be fooled and will always find out the truth. She isn't afraid to call no one out and put them in there place. Alicia felt a scene of regret while fixing the boxes but she really deserved it and work as hard Claire and Massie did. Alicia loves the attention just like Massie and (other people). She feels bigger and better than Massie because she is richer and just as pretty. No one wants to feel less than others and have just the same rights and confidence as the next person.

In Massie clique Dylan and Kristen don't second guess Massie and do what she says and how she likes it. Claire is stuck in the middle and doesn't know who's side to take because she is being to find herself close to clique and work hard and tried to impress Massie. These girls will stop at nothing to prove they are just as strong. Alicia does get her own clique and sometimes regret betraying her but everyone is seeing her potential and sense of style. Massie and Claire fall for the same boy (Cam) but he likes Claire more because of her simple and fun personally. He doesn't feel the same about Massie but she pushes of to the side and gives Claire the support she needs. Kristen then tells Massie and the other girls a secret she has been hiding and someone unexpectedly finds out.

(WHO FOUND OUT? WHO'S GOING TO FIND OUT AND TELL? HOW WILL THIS AFFECT HER(KRISTEN)? WILL MASSIE AND ALICIA REUNITE AS FRIENDS OR IS A GOOD FRIENDSHIP GONE?)

Want to find out grab a copy and a snack and enjoy.

Where Going On An Adventure

Come on. Let's go. Come with me as we use the .......... "Phantom Tollbooth"

Book- The Phantom Tollbooth
Author- Norton Juster
Average Ratings- 4.2/5 (Goodreads)
Year Realeased- 1961
Chapters- 20
Pages- 256

So like many others I have read The Phantom Tollbooth it it's was amazing. If your someone that LOVES adventure, time traveling, and supprises this is a good book. I first heard if this book when our teacher assigned it to us to read as a class and we took turns reading it. At first I didn't want to read it but as I listened I really enjoyed it. The class would groan because the book was so good no one wanted to put it down. It all starts out as a boy Milo having nothing to do kind of like some of us over summer break. Then he discovers "The Phantom Tollbooth". As he embarks on his journey he visits The Island Of Conclusion and meets a dog named "Tock". He then travels to Rhyme and Reason and tries to stop a war between the two brothers dealing with words and numbers. (*Stop here if you don't want any spoilers).

As Milo set off he meets a King named Azaz. The King gave Milo a task to find The two princess Rhyme and Reason who are in The Castle In The Air. The king sends "Humbug" to help Milo and Tock. On there way to Digitopolis they meet Alec Blings. They proceed on there journey and go to Reality and Illusions and meet Chroma and they see is symphony and witness his wonders for colors. Exhausted as Milo was he continues on and goes to The Valley Of Sound. He then meets Dischord a fake doctor who treats no noise (and/or) sound. The Soundkeeper explains he took away sound and gave it to Discord and Dynne because they were ungrateful and were not appreciative to him. Milo then steals the sound to help break out the sound vault and takes a detour to the Island Of Conclusion and swim back to The Sea Of Knowledge and find themselves at Digitopolis meeting a guy with twelve faces named Dodecahedron. Then he gives them a tour through The Number Mine to meet The Mathmagician. Milo tricks The Mathematician into letting the princesses go. Milo, Tock, and Humbug are terrified of demons they will incounter to reach The Mountain Of Ignorance to reach The Castle In The Air and then meet The Everpresent Wordsnatcher, Demon Of Insincerity who tries to trick them and Senses Taker which are all demons. Making his way pass all of them they find The princess and are amazed that Azaz and Mathmagician had reasoned to let them go. They All (Azaz and Mathmagician ) welcome the two princesses back.

Thanks so much for checking out my review. Until next time πŸ˜„

Getting Started In Books

What are some good summer books? How can I find them? Where can I go? What are good places to read them? Glad you ask. See my perspective is quite different froms yours. To me I can't tell you what are good summer books because YOU have to find what you are interested in. It could could be graphic novels, novels, mystery, fiction, or non-fiction. Research what YOU like and do what best fits you. How you can find them can be easy and tricky because some books stores MIGHT not have what you like. Ask them "hey I was wondering what are some good novels or thrillers that you can suggest to me", or explore and go out and find what you like. Going to a library can also be good because you can ask your librarian to help you. Another thing if you liked a book or dislike it and you want to try others go to your library IF they have that book, it also save money. You can also save nickels, pennies, dimes, and quarters to help buy the book, trust me you would be amazed at the outcome if you just SAVE. Now sometimes I don't borrow books at the library because they might not have it. Borrow books from friends or buy a eBook version on Amazon Kindle, Nook, iBook, Play Books books and more, because they are cheaper and they might have samples to the book you like or sales. I know what your thinking what if I don't have a tablet, ereader, or a phone. Ask your parents to use there's or look up reviews on it on smart TVs, GoodReads, bloggers, or YouTube, but never stop until you find what you want because that takes hard work and determination (*hint also try Amazon).Oh I almost forgot where's a place I read, I like to read my books in my room, outside on a cool day, or in the sunroom. There's alot of noise and chaos but I try to go where there is peace and quite so  I can concentrate on the books. If your like me and have siblings or cousins that make noise you try to run away but the noise never stops go somewhere they least expect it. Lock the bathroom door sit down on the mat and read.πŸ˜„
