         ♜Waking Up Joy♜

Behind every lost dream lies a second chance… When adored town spinster Joy Talley ends up in a coma after a peculiar accident, she is surprised and incensed to hear what is being said in her hospital room, including plans for her funeral. When she finally wakes, her well-meaning, but bossy, brothers and sisters dismiss her claims, thinking her accident has knocked her off her rocker, but Joy has never felt better, and is determined to set the past right. Now Joy must face her darkest secret and risk reopening wounds caused by an old flame who rejected her more than twenty years ago. But taking risks brings change, as well as a new, younger man into Joy’s life, making her feel like a teenager again. Suddenly Joy’s once humdrum life is anything but boring and routine and the future beckons, exhilarating and bright.

           ♧My Thoughts♧

So, I signed up for this blog tour and got offered something I thought was amazing. It was okay. There were some parts of the book I really question. The plot was okay. Not the best if it came down to me. That's why I am a bit scared to branch off to different genres. I want or expect to much all at once. I felt as if the family had no heart. I mean come on your sister is in a coma and your just rushing her life. No faith in believing that she will make it. This is what kind of madness happens in the world and I'm glad the author put it out there because I did not like that one bit.

The romance in the book did not have a strong back bone. Everything seemed so last minute if you ask me. When I read a book about romance I expect a strong connection with the two that could happen in real life. Not some made up "Hallmark" movie. If you ask me I think everyone was waiting for her to die and get on with there lives. If they didn't care for her I think they should have just left her along. Don't try to put on a fake sob story for the audience which I guess that was me.

Well as your audience your acting sucks. Out of no where Joy feels better. That was quite a miracle wouldn't you say. There wasn't enough suspense and tribulations to really make me believe that. If you think so explain to me how. The story was okay, but not really my type of typical romantic story. I don't regret reading this book but I need more feeling if I will read more books like these. Ms. Tina teaches us a valuable lesson just because their your family doesn't mean they will always have your back or care about your emotions.
